This brand new and state-of-the-art bouldering centre is one of the most accessible centres in London. The wall opened on the 1st May 2014 and opens up climbing to the South West London area. Located in 3 of the archs in Vauxhall rail station, it's difficult not to draw comparisons to The Arch at London Bridge but the similarities stop there.

​A very recent addition to the London Climbing scene. This high-tech bouldering centre has set a very high standard, with iPad inductions and registration, electronic check-ins and an ultra-modern look and feel. The centre has to be one of the most easily accessible centres in London, being only about 100m from both the underground and national rail stations at Vauxhall. The centre is bouldering only but has an array of features and challenges that will test all levels of climbers. This really is a welcome addition to the London climbing scene and we are big fans of the name.

VauxWall welcomes climbers of all abilities from some of the very best climbers in the country through to beginners who have never set foot on an indoor climbing wall before.

Opening hours:

6am to 10:30pm on weekdays

9am to 7pm at weekends and bank holidays.

VauxWall has a cafe serving the very best in coffees, teas and snacks as well as a retail outlet selling essential climbing supplies such as boots and clothing (though boots can also be hired just for a session).

VauxWall is highly accessible from Central London, being in Zone 1 and within 100 metres of Vauxhall overground and underground stations.

The climbing centre boasts 500m2 of high quality climbing surface, offering gentle slabs to steep overhangs. There are over 250 routes to choose from of all difficulties. It has dedicated training facilities as well as changing rooms and showers. It has been purpose built as a climbing centre with the highest specification of fittings throughout, including electronic registration and check-in systems, dust extraction and air conditioning.

The climbing centre is a facility of The Lakeland Climbing Centre Ltd and is the first step-out from its main base in Kendal, Cumbria. The Kendal Wall (http://www.kendalwall.co.uk) is one of the largest climbing centres in Britain, established in 1995. It offers roped climbing on walls over 25 metres high (the tallest in England), dedicated bouldering, a dry tooling and aid climbing wall and now a new CrazyClimb area. It will also soon open its indoor Via Ferrata.
